Wendy Woo's Girl Crush

Wendy Woo is an accomplished Colorado musician, singer, and songwriter whose career spans decades. With 200 songs recorded throughout her career, she has built a lasting presence in the Colorado music scene through her dedication to performing and writing original music.

On August 21st and 22nd of 2026, Wendy Woo and Girl Crush brought that passion for music to a meaningful cause. During this two-day benefit concert, Wendy generously donated all proceeds to Broken Bandit Wildlife Center (BBWC) in support of its plans to build a veterinary hospital in Eastern Wyoming.

The fundraiser helped bring BBWC closer to its goal of creating a facility dedicated to the care and treatment of wildlife. Through her music and generosity, Wendy Woo helped turn a live entertainment event into an opportunity to make a lasting difference for Wyoming's wildlife.

Broken Bandit Wildlife Center

brokenbanditwildlifecenter.org

Located near Hillsdale, Wyoming, Broken Bandit Wildlife Center (BBWC) is a women-owned and operated wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organization dedicated to helping injured and orphaned wildlife throughout the state. As the only wildlife rescue center of its kind in Wyoming, BBWC fills an important role in providing care for animals that would otherwise have limited options for rehabilitation.

Over the years, BBWC has helped animals from communities across Wyoming, with rescues reported in every county in the state. Their commitment to wildlife rehabilitation has made a meaningful difference for countless animals. According to the organization, approximately 98% of the animals they have rehabilitated have been successfully reintroduced to the wild. The remaining 2% require permanent care because their injuries or health conditions prevent them from safely returning to the wild.

Their mission extends beyond caring for individual animals. By providing a place for injured wildlife to receive treatment and rehabilitation, BBWC helps protect Wyoming's wildlife and preserve the natural heritage that makes our state special. With plans to expand its capabilities through a new veterinary hospital, the organization hopes to continue serving wildlife and communities throughout Wyoming for years to come.

Woofest: Making Music for Wyoming Wildlife

Woofest was about more than bringing people together for music and entertainment. The event was organized to help advance an important goal. The event helped in expanding the resources available to injured, displaced, and orphaned wildlife in Wyoming.

BBWC is planning a large-animal veterinary hospital campus designed to support its mission to "rescue, raise, rehabilitate, and release injured, displaced, or orphaned Wyoming Native Wildlife." This proposed facility would expand the organization's ability to care for wildlife and provide the veterinary resources needed to support rehabilitation and recovery. They want to make this hospital a place where any animal in the surrounding community would have medical attention.

Through the generosity of Wendy Woo and Girl Crush, all proceeds from Woofest were donated to Broken Bandit Wildlife Center to help move this project forward. Every person who attended helped support the event's fundraising efforts and contributed to the broader mission of protecting Wyoming's native wildlife.

You can help make a difference, too! As the holiday season approaches, consider making an end-of-year contribution to Broken Bandit Wildlife Center. Your donation can help support the organization's ongoing rescue and rehabilitation work and its plans for a future veterinary hospital campus.

Logan Ranch

This first annual Wild Woofest event was held at Logan Ranch. This beautiful camp and event site is located on the border of Wyoming and Colorado near Tie Siding Wyoming. Logan Ranch was the perfect place to hold this benefit event due to its spacious campsites, location in the wild Wyoming mountains, and its beautiful landscape. Woofest was a success due to this great venue.

Photographer's Note

At Ludwig Photography, we were honored to document Woofest, an event that brought together music, community, and a shared commitment to protecting Wyoming wildlife. Photographing events like this allows us to preserve more than the performances themselves. We also capture the people, organizations, and generosity behind the causes that strengthen our communities.

For 32 years, Anne Brande has photographed community events throughout the region, developing an experienced eye for detail, timing, and the moments that tell a story. Whether capturing a performer on stage, an audience sharing an unforgettable moment, or the people working behind the scenes, Anne strives to document the important moments and individuals that make each event meaningful.

Event photography is about preserving a record of more than what happened. It is about remembering who was there, what brought people together, and why the occasion mattered. These photographs become part of a community's history, allowing future generations to look back and understand the people and events that shaped their time.

Ludwig Photography is proud to continue this tradition of documenting the people, celebrations, and charitable efforts that make Southeast Wyoming and Northeast Colorado special. We look forward to capturing many more community events and preserving the stories behind them for years to come.
